Course Description: This course is designed to introduce the concepts of electrical safety, safe working practices and electrical principles to non-electricians.
Prerequisites: None
Course Objectives:
  • Be able to identify electrical symbols and read an electrical plan/blueprint
  • Demonstrate safe working practices
  • Demonstrate an understanding of electrical principles as used in an industrial environment
  • Identify specific procedures to ensure safety of self and others when working with electricity
  • Demonstrate correct lock out/tag out procedures
