Course Description: This course is designed for the Maintenance person who has had only limited exposure to Okuma lathes or for those who are first-time CNC machine tool users.
Prerequisites: None
Outline:
  • Learn how different systems of the machine function and relate with other machine components
  • Become familiar with preventive maintenance techniques
  • Learn to diagnose problems through machine manuals and machine self-checking techniques
  • Become familiar with common terminology to aid in troubleshooting when working with the machine manufacturer or distributor
  • Perform simple repairs
